Here are some sure-fire ways of telling whether the guy you're dating MIGHT BE A DOUCHE BAG:

1.  He won't date a girl his own age

Men who base a woman's value on her age are typically lacking in terms of maturity, self-esteem, romance, and/or social likeability.  These types of guys tend to be attractive and/or financially successful.  Due to the failures in all other areas of his life, he places a greater emphasis on the importance of his physical attractiveness and financial successes and over estimate the role these characteristics play in attracting members of the opposite sex.

2.  He constantly checks out other women when the two of you are together

Douche bags never pass on the opportunity to fully check out any slightly attractive woman in order to make the girl they're with feel insecure and inadequate.  They know the more they do this, the worse the woman will feel, and the greater the upper hand and control he will have over her.  Click here to read more!

3.  He only talks about himself

Douche bags believe no one in the world is more important than them.  They are only interested in the happenings of their own life and don't want to hear or discuss the details of yours.  When you do try to share your opinion or experiences, you'll find the topic quickly changes back to him and his opinion and/or experiences.

4.  He constantly gets into fights

Douche bags are highly threatened by other men and feel compelled to demonstrate their own perceived superiority through physical violence.  They are highly possessive and threaten to beat up any guy they catch talking to "their" girl.  Douche bags commonly get thrown out of clubs and bars for fighting or starting trouble.

5.  He doesn't have a lot of friends or all his friends are douche bags

Douche bags don't have many friends, maybe 1 or 2 they regularly talk to.  These friends are also likely to be douche bags, and the friendship they share is superficial in nature.

6.  He refuses to take you for a drink on your first date, and instead invites you for ice cream or the like.  

This guy is likely to either be a recovering alcoholic, broke/cheap, so arrogant he feels that showing up and paying for the $2.38 cone is sufficient enough to impress any girl, or takes so many girls out he can no longer afford to take them somewhere more appropriate.
