HOW MUCH SEX SHOULD YOU BE HAVING IN YOUR MARRIAGE?

In last weeks poll, Lovin' the 480 asked "How many times a month do average married couples have sex?"  

(a) 1-3 times per month

(b) 4-8 times per month

(c) 9- 12 times per month, or

(d) 13+ times per month

According to the results, 50% of respondents answered 4-8 times per month, and 50% answered 13+ times per month.

Dr. Harry Finch, MD, author of the book Size Matters and medical expert for the Dr. Oz show, indicates the frequency to which couples have sex depends on a number of factors, including age and sex.  Because of these variables, there is no concrete number for how many times you and your partner should be having sex. However the Dr. discovered the following about the frequency to which married couples actually do engage in sex:

Married couples under the age 30 are the friskiest, and have sex an average of 112 times per year, or about twice per week.

Married couples between the age 30 and 50 have sex an average of 69 times every year (a little over once every week), and

Married couples over the age 50 have sex an average of 32 times per year, or roughly 1 every other week.
